  Dr Paul Tocchet has been my primary physician since I returned to Monterey in 2002. I was born and raised here though lived my adult life in Manhattan. During an unfortunate visit to my parents in PG my mother suffered a debilitating stroke leaving her paralyzed, unable to speak, eat or write as well as have mobility. Unfortunately, I had to return to live with my father as he cared for my mother over the next 13 years. It was quite a shock for me and my life as well as the grief for my extremely active mother and as I developed extraordinary panic attacks I interpreted as heart attacks, he showed me nothing but compassion and let me take all the heart tests despite the reasoning he had for me as to why I was having panic attacks. During the years, he's given me his time and attention during my apps and when my mother died two years ago and my brothers returned causing me to have ptsd as well as copd as they moved in, unemployed, both physically and emotionally abusive to me he has been my ally in receiving disability as I have spent most of 2014 in the hospital with respiratory issues as well as emotional ones as my brothers took my parents home and threw me out and I lost 38 pounds since my arrival leaving me at 79 pounds. the hospitalization this June which indicated further complications including heart issues now he has written a stern and clear letter advocating my right to disability as 11 doctors at Chomps had reported my condition as worsening and serious and they denied my application. Finally as landed in the hospital with a diagnosis of possible fatality and had to leave since no one took Covered California, Dr Tocchet has seen over my care to insure they are reexamining my disability appeal. I couldn't recommend a better doctor and was lucky to find him. He was recommended by Gary & Emma Koeppel from Coast Gallery.
